Recognition
A beautiful perfumed Beaujolais Rouge with notes of raspberries and summer blossoms. Light and refreshing on the palate with a subtle acidity.
Domaine Chasselay covers 13 hectares, in Châtillon d'Azergues, Côte de Brouilly and Brouilly. The Chasselay family have lived in Chatillon d'Azergues for more than 6 centuries. Jean-Gilles and Christiane Chasselay have been winemakers since 1981. After studying viticulture, oenology and the wine trade, Claire and Fabien joined Domaine JG Chasselay in 2007. Today, Claire and Fabien Chasselay join their parents in order to to perpetuate this passion for wine.
Jean-Gilles, Claire and Fabien work the vine, vinify and raise the wines. It is the wisdom and knowledge of a father allied to the modernity and passion of his children that today gives this particular character of the Domaine's wines. The wine is made according to methods that guarantee respect for the environment.
This Beaujolais could be served slightly chilled at around 13 degrees and very well enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or with a nice charcuterie board.
